04 January 2016
The first few days of 2016 have already whizzed by but, how are your New Year Resolutions coming along? Are you eating healthier, taking a brisk walk every day and cutting down the time you spend on social media?
As much as we joke, making resolutions or promises to make changes in the New Year is a tradition that has been around for many years. It is thought to go back to Mayan times, where with the coming of spring and newness in the year, people gave thanks for what had been but also promised to make changes in the coming year.
Thus, there are many things that we say we are going to make a change to but, within a few days, they have fallen by the wayside and we have reverted back to our old ways.
But there is one resolution that you could stick to and, should you do so, could bring you untold riches in the New Year - making a claim for mis-sold PPI.
To find out if you have a claim, you need to take a step back and look at whether you have a PPI policy in the first place.
PPI Resolution 1 - look through ALL your paperwork for ALL the credit accounts that you have, from credit cards to store cards, to loans and so on. Check for a policy that promises to pay out in the event that you are unable to work and so on.
Now that you have the evidence, you need to determine if you were mis-sold the policy. There are many reasons why it could have been mis-sold to you:
PPI Resolution 2 - determine why you mis-sold the policy and why you should be compensated.
If you are unsure about any aspect, get help.
PPI Resolution 3 - contact Scottish PPI Claims to find out more about how they can help on a no win, no fee basis. In other words, if we don't win your case, you pay us nothing.
