PPI Deadline Date 2019 - Claiming PPI Compensation

26 March 2018

With the deadline on its way, we thought it would be a great time to take another looking at how to claim PPI compensation.

1. You do not need to make a claim through a claim management company but…

There is a lot of misinformation about claiming compensation for mis-sold PPI and one is that you must make a claim using a claim management company like Scottish PPI Claims.

Some companies have also been telling prospective customers that they will get a faster resolution to their case if they use their company.

This is not true!

BUT, using a claim management company like Scottish PPI Claims can be advantageous if you lack the confidenceto take on your bank or lender, or if you have what you believe to becomplex cases, if you have more than one potential case for PPI compensation and also, for some people, it comes down totime.

If you are short on time, why not let us chase your PPI compensation for you?

2. Paperwork or evidence of PPI on your account(s) is not always needed BUT…

… as a genuine and professional claim management company, we pride ourselves on the enviable reputation we have built over the years.

We look closely at your potential claim for PPI compensation as we will not make a claim on your behalf unless we have reasons to believe that your claim is genuine.

This may mean thatwith your permission, we makeenquirieswith your bank or lenders on your behalf. There are also other ways of getting hold of this evidence so why not call us now to find out more?

3. You can still claim PPI compensation, even if you are in debt!

We receive many calls and emails from potential customers worried about making a claim for compensation for mis-sold PPI as they are in debt or arrears with various financial companies.

You are still entitled to claim compensation for mis-sold PPI, even if you are in arrears.

You could be in receipt of a lump sum but you may also find that any compensation claimed will be 'wiped off' your account, placing you in a far more advantageous position than you were. This can be a great help in restoring your credit score too.

If you have an IVA arrangement or another official, formal process of managing your debt, you will need to talk to our team and your debt advisor before proceeding with a PPI claim.

4. There is still time to claim compensation but…

… time IS running out. The PPI deadline set for 11.59pm on Thursday 29th August 2019 is firm. Don't miss out!
